Video on demand.
This is an example of how you can produce
a 30 minute show on the Internet. These files are approximately
160 Megs in size. This
isn't practical if you have a dial-up modem, as you could drive
to town, do your grocery shopping and hopefully watch it, when
you return, if your connection hasn't timed out.
Now with broadband, you should be able to start watching these
videos almost instantly, because they play slower than they download.
This is a production made using equipment
on loan from the cable access channel. Bill Taylor and
Richard Burt were creating these half hour shows to be shown
on Moose Lake's cable access channel. The
problem being is that you had to be lucky enough to be tuned
in at the right time to enjoy them. With the Internet
you can watch them on your own schedule...
Enjoy!
